What You Can Do To Manage Your Time

At the end of the day, do you feel like you didn't get everything done that you wanted to? If you're like most people, the answer is yes. If you learned some time management skills, you would be able to get everything done and still have time for you. Read the following tips to learn how.

Portland housing growth? Not in my backyard

6 Portland health providers give $21.5M for homeless housing
Renters rally for stable housing legislation
Low income housing vouchers now available in Portland
Lake Oswego ranked most expensive housing market in OR
PORTLAND, Ore. (Portland Tribune) — Housing advocates are concerned that as Portland prepares for more condominiums and apartments to accommodate more than 200,000 new residents during the next two decades, city officials plan to cut back the size of new buildings in parts of the affluent Northwest, pushing the new growth elsewhere.

However, the proposal to lower the allowed density in much of the Northwest’s Historic Alphabet District could open up the city to $30 million or more in legal claims from landowners, one lawyer says.

Wild downtown Portland chase ends with 2 arrests, 4 vehicles damaged

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A downtown Portland chase with a wrong-way motorist, at one point on a sidewalk, ended with the arrest of the driver and passenger, according to Portland police.
The incident began about 1:30 p.m. Monday when police were dispatched to a report of a drunken driver sitting in a car at West 20th Avenue and West Burnside Street.
An officer tried to contact the driver, who fled east, ramming a police car. He drove a short distance on a sidewalk. A second officer chased the car for two blocks, calling off the pursuit in the interest of safety, as the driver's actions were very erratic, police said.
Police then monitored the vehicle's travel. The driver reached Southwest 4th Avenue, where he went the wrong way and struck another car. He turned east on Jefferson before crashing near Southwest 3rd Avenue.
The driver was detained by a citizen until officers arrived, police said.

Portland, Oregon, spent $250,000 to reinvent the public toilet

If you’ve ever used a public toilet, you probably wish you held the urge until you got home.
They’re unclean, smelly, and often serve as de facto homes for the homeless.
Thankfully, the city of Portland, Oregon, has reinvented the staple facility of urban centers, festivals, and campgrounds. And the new public toilet only cost $250,000 to develop.
The Portland Loo isn’t the futuristic, self-cleaning bathroom you might imagine. A weathered-looking steel shell wraps around a single toilet-bowl. There’s no sink or running water. Grates at the top and bottom of the structure allow onlookers to see in; though a “blind spot” prevents people from watching users do their business, Fast Company reports.
So, what makes this loo so special?
